Oral Medications for Treating DiabetesOral Medications for Treating Diabetes, a two hour accredited course, will review the current oral medications available to treat type 2 diabetes. The importance of controlling the fasting plasma glucose and postprandial plasma glucose will be presented with discussion as to specific treatment approaches to address these issues. Combination therapy using oral agents and insulin is presented. Prevention and treatment of hypoglycemia is also discussed. A case study is reviewed at the conclusion of the course. Several handouts are provided.
