Frequently Asked QuestionsHow long is each course? All course are either one, two, or three hours. What accredited continuing education can I earn? RNs earn 1 contact hour for each one-hour course, 2 contact hours for each two-hour course, or 3 contact hours for each three-hour course. RDs & DTRs earn 1 continuing professional education (CPE) hour for each one-hour course and 2 CPEs for each two-hour course and 3 CPEs for each three-hour course. Certified Case Managers earn 1 clock hour for each one hour course, 2 for each two hour course and 3 for each three hour course. Do these credits qualify for my CDE continuing education requirements? See CEU Credits Info What is the difference between a course and a course hour? Go to Course Hours vs. Courses? How do I receive my Certificate of Completion/Statement of Credit? After you have submitted the Evaluation Form, a screen containing your Certificate of Completion/Statement of Credit will open. Just download it or print it out for your records. You can return to your Certificate of Completion anytime by clicking the Go to Course next to the course that you completed. How do I get volume discounts? The discounts are available by purchasing multiple hours. These hours can be traded for courses at anytime. How do I register? Select either Individual or Organization and follow the form. As an ORGANIZATION how does the login process differ? An organization has an Account Manager who assigns employees to take a specific course or assigns them a number of course hours and lets them choose the course(s) they wish to take. How do I pay for my courses? Individuals can pay with a credit card; organization can use a credit card or a purchase order. How do employees of an ORGANIZATION get set up to take a course? From the My Employees page click the ADD button to start adding employees. Your employees will be notified via email. They will automatically be assigned a password, which they will use with their email address to set up their account. Use the My Purchases page to assign course hours to your employees or from the Update Employee page click the Assign button. How can an ORGANIZATION'S employees change their password? You can change an employee's password by selecting the Update button next to the employee's name and entering a new password or the employee can do it by logging in and changing their password from the My Account page. How does the Account Manager take courses? The Account Manager becomes available to take course by selecting Yes to the Question, "Will I be taking course on MedEdOps.org" on the My Account page. Then the Account Manager assigns him/herself course and goes to the My Assignment page to begin taking courses. How long do I have to complete a course? One year. You can purchase course hours to be traded for courses at a later date. You have one year to finish a course after it is started. Am I required to complete a course in one session? No. You can open and quit a course at any time. Returning to a course returns you to the exact place you left. How is a course set-up? Each course contains a number of Course Topics. You can go from the first to the last or select any Course Topics at any time. You must answer the question(s) at the bottom of a particular Course Topic once selected to proceed. What happens if I answer a question wrong? You will be directed back to that portion of the text where you will find the correct answer, which will be highlighted in red. Can I fail a course? No. You must pass every Course Topic in order to complete a course. If you attempt to finish the course prior to passing every Course Topic you will be directed to the areas you have not completed. How can I tell if a Course Topic has been completed? Course Topics are listed in the left column and those that are completed are shown in red and highlighted with a red asterisk. What happens after I have completed all the Course Topics? You must fill out an Evaluation Form. You must view all the pages, which includes Introduction, Course Description and References to complete the course. |
