The topics at the left represent the main areas of this course. You can begin with the "Next" button or choose a topic at the left. Use the "Next" button or these topics to travel through the course.
Handouts
There are several handouts provided as PDF files. You need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view the PDF files.
You can print the handouts if you want a hard copy. You also have permission to duplicate these handouts if you are using them in patient education.
Answering Questions
Multiple choice questions may be included at the end of each topic. You must answer these questions correctly to complete a topic. After answering the questions click the Check Answers button.
If all your answers are correct the system will advance you to the next topic. If one of your answers is incorrect, the course system will highlight the section of the topic containing the correct answer. When you are ready update your answer and click the Check Answers button again.
You must complete each question correctly in order to complete the topic. If the topic does not contain questions then you only need to view the topic in order to complete it. You must complete every topic before you will receive your continuing education credit. A completed topic will appear in red text with a red asterisk next to it in the topic index on the left side of the page.
If you need to stop the program before you are finished you can do so by choosing "Save & Quit". The topics you have completed will be recorded and when you return to the program it will open up to your last visited topic.
Continuing Education Credit
Upon completion of all the topics you will be asked to complete an Evaluation Form. After the Evaluation Form is submitted, your Certificate of Completion/Statement of Credit will be issued immediately.
